It appears that on a local level managers seem to be ignoring their own policy regarding Bank Holiday procedures. Let’s be straight, if your day of falls on a Bank Holiday then you are entitled to another day off in the same week. If they cannot provide that, then the options available are to have the day off paid at Monday to Saturday overtime rates, or a day added to your leave entitlement fot that year. That decision as to if your paid overtime or have a day in lieu is for the individual to decide and not the managers.
