Help for people over 70 and people in need – can you help?
If you know somebody who is self-isolating or shielding and doesn’t have family or friends to call upon for support, then #StokeonTrentTogether can help. They can fill out the online form at https://corona19.vast.org.uk/ or they can call 0800 561 5610 which is open Monday – Sunday between 9am and 5pm.
Stoke on Trent residents are also asked for donations of food and specifically tinned foods, pasta, rice, baby food and nappies to help those most in need. As it’s Easter, if people would like to donate an Easter egg to people in need, these are also welcomed. Residents can drop off items at drop off points for foodbanks in supermarkets or take to Fenton Manor Sports Complex or Dimensions Leisure Centre. Items taken to Fenton Manor Sports Complex or Dimensions Leisure Centre should be left in the boxes provided in the entrance lobby areas to stop any cross-contamination and residents should adhere to the 2 metre social distancing rule. Please also make sure that you’re abiding by all the essential guidance on leaving your home.
