Dear CWU Member,
Please accept this letter as an INVITATION to the next meeting of your Retired Members Section of the North Staffs (Postal) Branch of the CWU.
Our Meeting is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 16th March at the North Stafford Hotel (directly opposite Stoke Railway Station) Station Road, Stoke on Trent, ST4 2AE, starting at 10.30 and finishing at around 12.00 midday. As usual tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
We meet in a large room, the Garden Lounge, with a high ceiling and are careful not to gather too closely together to provide the best balance between continuing to be active and maintaining a safe environment in which to do this.
We are organising a visit to the Blist Hill Industrial Village and Ironbridge Museum in Shropshire scheduled for Wednesday 27th April when the weather and daylight hours should allow us a full and leisurely day to look back into the lives, work and social history of our predecessors – whilst enjoying tea and cake of course ! You will need to book a place for this by calling Andrew on 01782 415137.
As a CWU Retired Member we offer you the chance to enjoy this event, supported with funding from the CWU, to give you real and additional value from your continued CWU membership.
Together we make our experiences interesting and enjoyable. It is this involvement that makes the difference and we therefore hope you will join us at our meeting.
Living in a world which has been thrown into turmoil it is perhaps even more important than ever to enjoy time with others sharing and enjoying the experiences that bond us together in fraternal and enduring friendship.
